Five Letters is a musical and design duo consisting of husband and wife team John and Laura Boyd (nee Clark). They are located in Franklin, Tennessee after moving from Auckland, New Zealand in 2004. They have two children, Oliver Cove and Lucy Neve. John, a native of New Zealand, and Laura (American born but Kiwi bred) share a passion and vision to use the arts- film, design, photography, acting, but particularly music, to see healing come to the brokenhearted, restoration come to damaged lives, and the love of Jesus Christ to infuse, then impact all whom their creative endeavors may reach.
John
(Dip of Performing Arts) Songwriter, guitarist, bassist, and all round studio whiz, has played in bands since the early 90’s. He now uses his artistic talents to create and design websites, clothing, and printed material. As well as engineer, mix and play on various artists' recordings. email - john@fiveletters.net
Laura
(BA Linguistics, Dip of Performing Arts) Songwriter and drummer, Laura has been writing and performing music since her first all girl goth band at age 14. She is a full time Mum, but when she can, loves to write, play, sing, and also has a penchant for acting. If you use freeze frame and know where to look, you can see her as an extra in the beginning of 'Narnia, The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe'.
