Michael Stipe said it well; ‘Everybody hurts, sometimes’. The question is, what do you do with that hurt? Do you soak in it, roll around it in, ball it up, cover it up, stuff it down, act out of it? Many people become their hurt, are defined by it. It eats away at them. But that isn’t the real them. The real them is underneath the hurt, (whether it was done to them or by them). The wonder of love, the beauty of forgiveness is that those hurts can be rendered void, and even turned into something positive, creative, meaningful and good. Beauty from Ashes- let it be.

Never forget- LOVE WINS.

CLANCY

Miriam Clancy is a super talented rock chick friend from New Zealand. I think I have known her for 16 years. She is visiting Nashville on her way to NYC to record her next album. Her and her lovely husband are travelling with their THREE young boys in an old school GMC motor home/bus. WOW. Now that is commitment to the ROCK. Blessings to you Clancy crew!

Check out her music. It is sublime. Her vocals and lyrics are rockin and soft and eerily, powerfully beautiful all at once.

Of course we had to do a little photo shoot while she was here- For when we do our duets record one day and go on the road as 'Clancy and Clark'.

hitched

Our good friends Ryan and Jeannie are getting married in October, so we did a little engagement photo shoot for them. It was fun and a little nerve wracking on my part. I wanted to do a good job for them and get some great creative shots. I think we managed a few. Here's a few of my favourites, and there are a bunch more on our Facebook page too.
