Michael Stipe said it well; ‘Everybody hurts, sometimes’. The question is, what do you do with that hurt? Do you soak in it, roll around it in, ball it up, cover it up, stuff it down, act out of it? Many people become their hurt, are defined by it. It eats away at them. But that isn’t the real them. The real them is underneath the hurt, (whether it was done to them or by them). The wonder of love, the beauty of forgiveness is that those hurts can be rendered void, and even turned into something positive, creative, meaningful and good. Beauty from Ashes- let it be.

Saturday, August 27, 2011 Our good friends Ryan and Jeannie are getting married in October, so we did a little engagement photo shoot for them. It was fun and a little nerve wracking on my part.
